Customer Service Representative Overview

The Customer Service Representative is responsible for handling inbound customer calls, order entry, invoice processing and coordination with the warehouse in our Santa Fe Springs distribution operations. By providing an outstanding customer service experience, the Customer Service Representative will create raving fans of our business and enable the Business Owners to focus on the growth of the business. Reporting to the Owner, the position will have no direct reports but will be the focal point for a wide range of customer support related tasks. Working within a small, fast-paced company, the successful candidate will be detail-oriented, an effective multi-tasker, pride themselves on accuracy, and communicate effectively.

Summarized Responsibilities

Effectively handle Customer Support tasks including product availablility and order status questions.
Effectively manage Order Entry tasks including data entry, pick sheet printing, and invoicing in the Sage 100 System.
Efficiently support the Order Fulfillment Process.
Effectively work with others to accomplish company objectives.

In the first 6 months, the successful candidate will have...

Developed a solid working knowledge of our Sage Accounting software.
Developed a solid working knowledge of our products and their applications.
Developed consistent processes to improve the timeliness of Customer Support and Order Entry transactions and postings.
Implemented processes to support the flow of information to meet Customer's demand for materials.
Established relationships with key customers and accounts.

Additional Responsibilities

Maintain orderly open order and general filing system to support business needs.
Assist with general office clerical and filing work as needed.
Provide and maintain reports on Key Customer Performance Indicators.
Perform other duties as may be assigned by Owner.

Preferred Education & Experience

High School Diploma
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business or Accounting will be a plus.
3-5 years of Customer Service and Order Entry experience using ERP/MRP software.
3-5 years of general office administrative experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
Bilingual (Spanish)

Salary Range

$17.00 to $20.00 per hour
